COMPOSED.

Every space has a story. We design how it sounds, feels, and lives — through light, audio, and the invisible intelligence that holds both together.

Our Role

You are creating a place that matters.
A place to be. To gather. To heal. To welcome.

How that space sounds, feels, and performs is the sum of countless decisions — made across every trade on the project. Our role is to bring those decisions into focus, around the people who will spend their lives inside. We join early, we stay late, and we treat atmosphere not as a feature — but as the point.

The BA Method

The Composition
Method.

Great atmosphere is not installed — it is decided at schematic design, before walls close. That is when we do our best work.

Act I

Listen.

We begin with the story of how you live — before a single device is chosen. Every home has a character. We find it first.

Act II

Compose.

Light, sound, and automation are designed as one unified score — not separate systems bolted together at the end of construction.

Act III

Tune.

We stay until every scene performs exactly as designed. Then we stay after that — for ongoing care and seasonal adjustment.

Lighting & Atmosphere

Light does not illuminate space.

Lighting & Atmosphere

Light does not illuminate space.
It creates it.

From the first blue-spectrum light of a productive morning to the warm amber of an evening winding down — every moment has a light. We compose each one deliberately.

Scene-Based Lighting

One command.
A thousand moments.

Good morning is a scene. Work from home is a scene. Dinner for twelve is a scene. A private screening is a scene. A child's bedtime is a scene. We design each moment as deliberately as a cinematographer designs a frame — because ninety percent of how a room feels is how it is lit at any given moment.

Lutron and Crestron lighting control platforms allow every scene to be recalled with a single tap, a voice command, or automatically by time of day. The technology disappears. The atmosphere remains.

Circadian Rhythm Design

Your home's light
follows your biology.

The science of light on the human body is no longer theory — it is a design discipline. Blue-spectrum light in the morning suppresses melatonin and keeps you alert. Warm amber in the evening promotes it and prepares your body for genuine rest. A circadian-aligned lighting system manages this transition automatically — from the bright whites of a productive morning to the amber warmth of an evening that actually helps you sleep.

Rest

We program your lighting schedule around your schedule — when you wake, when you work, when you exercise, when you need to focus, and when your body needs to begin its transition to sleep. The system follows your life, not the other way around.

Wellness

Sleep architecture.

Circadian lighting is one of the most impactful wellness interventions available. We design it into the home from the start — not as a feature but as a foundation.

Automation

Fully automatic.

The system adjusts without input. Sunrise scenes begin at the scheduled time. Evening transitions happen on their own. You live inside it without managing it.

Override

Always in control.

The automation is a starting point, not a constraint. Any scene can be held, adjusted, or overridden at any time from a keypad, an app, or a voice command.

Landscape Lighting

The outdoor stage,
after dark.

After dark, the South Florida landscape becomes something else entirely. The architecture of your home is defined against the night sky. The garden is revealed in layers. The pool becomes a luminous sculpture. The terrace transforms from afternoon shade into an amber-lit stage for the evening.

We design the outdoor night — systematically and deliberately — as an extension of the same intelligent platform that controls your interior. Every light is placed with purpose. Every scene is programmable. The whole composition changes from afternoon to cocktail hour to midnight with no visible command.

  • Tree canopy uplighting — depth and dimension to the landscape
  • Architectural uplighting — defining the home against the night
  • Pool and water feature illumination
  • Pathway and step lighting — guiding without flooding
  • Terrace and lanai accent lighting
  • Driveway and entry illumination
  • Color-tunable outdoor fixtures for special occasions

Lighting is what makes your property the venue."

The Private Cinema

A room tuned
to the last degree.

A private cinema is not a dark room with a large television. It is an acoustic instrument — tuned to the dimensions of the room, the materials of its walls, and the way sound behaves inside it.

The Difference

Not what you imagine.
Better than you remember.

Most home theaters are installed. Ours are designed. The difference is everything — in the way bass resolves, the way dialogue sits, the way a film envelops you rather than simply playing in front of you.

We begin not with equipment selection but with room acoustics, sight lines, and the story of how you want to experience the films you love.

Five Disciplines

Five disciplines.
One seamless experience.

01 — Acoustics

The Room Itself.

Room dimensions, parallel surfaces, bass modes, and reverb time are the acoustic instruments before a single speaker is chosen. We treat the room first — panels, bass traps, diffusion.

02 — Projection

The Image.

Laser 4K projection calibrated to the screen surface and ambient light, or micro-LED for smaller spaces. Screen gain selected to seat positions, not the spec sheet.

03 — Audio

The Sound.

5.1 through full Dolby Atmos — speakers selected for room dimensions, positioned for seat geometry, calibrated by ear and by measure. Every seat a good seat.

04 — Seating

Where You Sit.

Seat position determines the experience more than any specification. We design the layout before furniture is selected — then specify seating that serves the geometry.

05 — Lighting

The Scene.

Zero spill on the screen. Warm aisle lighting. Pre-show, intermission, and credits scenes pre-programmed. One touch — or none at all if the system anticipates you.

06 — The Finish

No Visible Technology.

Acoustic fabric walls concealing treatment and speakers. Projector lifts. Hidden equipment rooms. The room should feel like a room — not a collection of components.

"A great cinema room is not a room you enter to watch a film. It is a room that disappears — and leaves only the story."

BA Concepts — Cinema Design Philosophy

The Design Process

Five stages.
One result.

The best time to design a private cinema is before the walls close. Every stage of our process is timed to construction — so decisions are made in the right order.

01

Acoustic Assessment

Room dimensions, surfaces, HVAC paths, and adjacent spaces. The room's character is mapped before design begins.

02

Layout & Geometry

Screen size, seating rows, speaker geometry, and projection distance are calculated together — not independently.

03

Specification

Equipment is specified to the room — not the other way around. Every component earns its place by serving the design intent.

04

Construction Coordination

We provide framing details, conduit paths, HVAC placement, and structural requirements to your builder directly.

05

Calibration & Commissioning

We stay until the room sounds and looks exactly right — acoustically measured, visually calibrated, tuned by ear.

Cinema Spaces

No two cinema rooms are alike. Each begins with the room itself — its dimensions, its materials, its relationship to the spaces around it.

Outdoor Living & Resort

The living room
without walls.

In South Florida, the outdoors is not an extension of the home. It is the home. We design for that — from the pool deck that becomes the theater to the terrace that transforms after dark into something you never want to leave.

The Outdoor Room

From sunrise to
long after sunset.

The outdoor living space in South Florida has a rhythm — morning coffee by the pool, afternoon in the shade, evenings that linger well past midnight. Our job is to design technology and lighting that follows that rhythm rather than interrupting it. Music that moves with you. Light that responds to the hour. Scenes that anticipate how the day is actually lived.

Every component is specified for the environment — UV-rated, IP67 weather-rated, engineered for the heat and humidity of coastal South Florida.

Pool Audio

Disappear into the landscape.

Architectural in-ground and surface-mount speakers positioned around the pool deck — tuned to the outdoor acoustic environment. Music that envelops without overwhelming conversation at the water's edge.

Landscape Sound

The garden has a voice.

Rock speakers, planter speakers, and buried subwoofers that vanish into the landscaping. Zones that follow pathways. The soundtrack of the property, not just the patio.

Outdoor Cinema

The open-air screening room.

Retractable screens, weather-rated projectors or outdoor displays, and full surround audio — calibrated for ambient light and wind conditions. The film, under the stars.

Terrace Lighting

Golden hour, every evening.

Warm-dim landscape lighting layered across hardscape, planting, water features, and architectural elements — scene-based, circadian-aligned, and integrated with interior lighting control. The terrace transforms after dark.

Landscape at Night

The outdoor stage.

Tree canopy uplighting that gives depth to the landscape. Architectural uplighting that defines the home's silhouette. Pool illumination that gives dimension to the water. Pathway warmth. The whole scene, composed.

Zone Integration

Inside and outside, one system.

Music follows you from kitchen to lanai to pool without interruption. Lighting transitions as you move. The indoor and outdoor spaces behave as one unified, intelligent home — on one platform.

Outdoor AV Integration

The outdoor room
with everything inside.

A motorized display that rises from a custom cabinet. A pergola with integrated speakers disappearing into the structure above. Pathway lighting, pool illumination, and fire all controlled from one device. This is what outdoor living looks like when the technology is designed alongside the architecture — not after it.

  • Motorized outdoor display systems

For Architects, Designers & Builders

We join your team.
Not your project.

The difference between technology that serves architecture and technology that competes with it comes down to one thing: when we enter the project. We come in at schematic design — not after the drywall.

Our Commitment

We protect
your design intent.

Technology should be invisible unless you want it seen. We understand that every specification we make lives inside the architecture you created. Our role is to serve your intent — not override it with equipment that competes with your material palette or violates your sight lines.

We attend design meetings. We provide coordination drawings. We coordinate directly with your MEP engineers, millworkers, and landscape architects. When the project is complete, the technology disappears — and what remains is the space you designed.

Architects

Invisible by design.

We provide infrastructure drawings, penetration schedules, and coordination files compatible with your documentation set. Equipment rooms sized, located, and ventilated to your structural requirements. Nothing is visible unless you put it there.

When to Engage Us

Earlier than

The decisions that determine how a space feels — acoustically, visually, experientially — are made at schematic design. Conduit paths, equipment room locations, acoustic adjacencies, window placement relative to screen walls. These cannot be fixed after framing.

We recommend engaging at SD and work actively through DD and CD, coordinate during construction, and commission at substantial completion.

Begin the ConversationAbout the Practice

Hospitality

The feeling guests
can't quite name.

The moment a guest walks in and feels something before they see anything. That feeling is engineered — acoustic, spectral, and spatial. It is what separates a property people remember from one they forget by checkout.

The Hospitality Disciplines

Every moment
is a decision.

Hospitality technology is a guest-experience discipline. The lobby sets the emotional register for the entire stay. The restaurant is where the review gets written or not. The bar is where the night either elevates or plateaus. The spa is where the property earns its reputation for genuine wellness.

We have not yet taken on a hospitality project. We say that plainly — and we say it alongside this: every discipline required to design a hotel lobby, a restaurant soundscape, a rooftop bar atmosphere, or a spa acoustic environment is a discipline we practice every day in residential and commercial work. The tools, the platforms, and the philosophy are identical. What differs is the scale of the audience.

Restaurants & Dining

The sound of dinner
is part of the menu.

Noise is the most complained-about aspect of the dining experience — more than service, more than the food. A table of four that cannot hear each other is a table that orders less, stays shorter, and does not come back. This is not an aesthetic problem. It is a revenue problem.

We design the acoustic environment of a restaurant with the same deliberateness as the material palette — acoustic panels specified to look like they belong, sound masking that raises the noise floor without raising the volume, zone audio that builds energy at the bar without destroying conversation in the dining room. And scene-based lighting that shifts from the bright clarity of lunch service to warm amber by 7pm — automatically, invisibly, correctly.

  • Acoustic zone management — bar vs. dining room vs. private dining
  • Sound masking for speech privacy and ambient comfort
  • Scene-based lighting from lunch service to dinner service
  • Background audio that changes with daypart and energy
  • Terrace and outdoor dining audio — weather-rated, IP-rated
  • AV for private dining and event spaces

All Hospitality Disciplines

Every space in
the property.

Lobby & Arrival

The first thirty seconds.

The arrival soundscape — its level, its warmth, its relationship to the architecture — sets the emotional register before a guest reaches the desk. We design that register deliberately and program it to change with the time of day.

Bars & Cocktail Lounges

Energy is a design discipline.

A great bar has an atmosphere that builds — from the early quiet of opening to the full energy of a Friday night. Zone audio, lighting scenes, and controlled acoustic levels are how that arc is designed rather than left to chance.

Pool & Outdoor

The resort experience.

Weather-rated audio that disappears into the landscape. Pool lighting that changes from afternoon clarity to evening ambiance. Outdoor displays for events. All managed from a single staff-operable platform.

Spa & Wellness

Sound as therapy.

Acoustic environments designed for recovery. Circadian lighting aligned to treatment types. HVAC acoustic isolation so mechanical noise does not undermine the experience. Zero compromise on silence when silence is the service.

Event & Meeting Spaces

Every event, technically perfect.

Flexible AV for ballrooms and breakout rooms. Wireless microphone systems that work without a technician. Screens that accept any presentation format. Staff-operable interfaces so your team can focus on guests, not technology.

Staff Operations

Simple enough to run.

The best hospitality AV system is the one your staff operates without training. Touch panels with scene labels, not system names. Scheduled transitions that happen automatically. Remote monitoring so issues are addressed before guests notice them.

"A hotel is a stage. The technology is the lighting department — and it should never take a bow."

Let's Talk Hospitality

If you are designing a property
that deserves to be felt — let's talk.

We do not have a hospitality portfolio yet. We have every discipline required to build one — and we are looking for the right first project to do it properly.

Luxury Condos & MDU

Technology as
the invisible amenity.

The difference between a luxury unit and a lifestyle begins with the technology infrastructure underneath it. We consult from pre-construction through resident move-in — and we stay for the life of the building.

The Developer Perspective

Technology that
sells the lifestyle.

In the luxury condo market, technology is no longer a differentiator — it is an expectation. The differentiator is how well it is designed and how seamlessly it operates. Buyers in Brickell, Edgewater, and Sunny Isles have seen smart home technology fail. They do not want smart homes. They want homes that work.

We help developers specify and deliver technology that residents actually love — from the amenity deck to the individual unit, from the lobby first impression to the daily experience of a resident who never thinks about their system.

Lobby & Arrival

The first impression.

The lobby sets the brand register for the entire building. We design arrival soundscapes, architectural lighting control, digital concierge displays, and access systems that welcome residents the way a luxury hotel would.

Amenity Spaces

The amenities that matter.

Pool deck audio, rooftop entertainment, fitness center energy, spa atmosphere, co-working acoustic zones, private event spaces — each designed for its use case and managed from a single building operations platform.

Unit Technology

Lifestyle, not features.

Tiered technology packages — standard to premium — specifying pre-wire infrastructure, control platforms, and upgrade paths. Residents get a home that works beautifully from day one and evolves with their preferences.

  • Telecom and riser room consulting
  • Unit pre-wire specification by tier
  • Structured cabling standards
  • Network infrastructure design
  • Amenity technology programming
  • Building automation integration
  • Access control and intercom systems
  • Resident technology package development
  • Post-occupancy support program

Commercial

The meeting room
people want to return to.

The best commercial technology is the technology people forget is there — because every call connects, every screen displays, and every voice is heard without adjustment, rebooting, or the IT department.

The Commercial Difference

Spaces that support
people, not systems.

Commercial AV has a reputation for complexity, failure, and frustration. We design commercial technology from the user experience backward: what does the person in this room need to accomplish, and what is the simplest path to that outcome?

The result is a conference room where video calls look professional, a boardroom where presentations require one touch, and an executive suite where privacy and presence are engineered into the architecture.

Conference Rooms

The meeting that works.

Display sizing calculated for room depth. Microphone coverage mapped to table geometry. Camera positioned for best video call framing. One-touch operation for hybrid meetings. No dead spots, no echo, no "can you hear me now."

  • Zoom Rooms, Teams Rooms, Google Meet
  • Wireless presentation (Crestron, Barco)
  • Acoustic treatment for echo control
  • One-touch room scheduling panels

Boardroom & Executive

Presence and privacy.

Boardrooms carry executive presence — they need to sound authoritative, look polished on video calls, and project confidence. We design boardroom AV for the impression it makes as much as the function it serves.

  • Executive-grade microphone arrays
  • Acoustic isolation from adjacent spaces
  • Lighting designed for video presence
  • Confidentiality and privacy control

Open & Co-working

Focus in the open plan.

Open-plan offices are acoustically challenging by design. Sound masking systems raise the ambient noise floor imperceptibly — making speech unintelligible beyond a meter without making the space feel loud. Privacy and focus without walls.

  • Sound masking systems
  • Zone audio for background music
  • Acoustic panels and baffles
  • Phone booth and focus room AV

"The best conference room is the one people choose when they have a choice."

About BA Concepts

A practice built
on atmosphere.

We believe technology should be felt, not seen. That light is how a space feels. That sound is how a space remembers. And that great design — of any kind — is ultimately about the person inside it.

The Story

Where we
come from.

BA Concepts grew from more than a decade of AV design and integration work across South Florida — beginning as Entilius AV Design Consultants, built on a simple conviction: that the people who would spend their lives inside a space deserved more than a list of components. They deserved a considered experience.

As the practice evolved — and as the architects, designers, and builders we worked alongside came to expect more from their technology partners — it became clear that a new identity was needed. BA Concepts reflects the practice we had become: a consultancy that designs atmosphere — sound, light, circadian wellness, and the invisible intelligence that holds it all together.

The work has not changed. The commitment — that technology should serve architecture and the people inside it — has never changed.

On Technology

It should disappear.

Technology that calls attention to itself has failed its job. The speaker that blends into the ceiling, the keypad that matches the millwork, the automation that anticipates rather than requires instruction — these are the marks of a well-designed system.

On Lighting

It is the architecture of feeling.

Light defines how a space feels — at every hour of the day, in every season, through every scene. Circadian rhythm design, scene-based programming, and landscape lighting after dark are not features. They are the point. We treat light as the primary design material it has always been.

On Timing

Early or never.

The decisions that shape acoustic performance, visual experience, and system elegance are made at schematic design. AV as an afterthought produces AV that looks like an afterthought. We join early and produce work that was always part of the architecture.

"Atmosphere, when done correctly, is something you stop noticing — and start living inside."

BA Concepts
